Our Venues

All of XOXO 2019's official programming is held at Washington High School, located at 1300 SE Stark St., a historical landmark built in 1924, which was an active school until its closure in 1981. After being vacant for over 30 years, it was redeveloped into a mix of bars, event spaces, and offices.

If you're mapping directions or taking cabs, just look for Revolution Hall. You may get inconsistent results looking for Washington High.

Revolution Hall

Our main stage programming — Conference, Video, and Story — is held inside of Revolution Hall, Washington High's former auditorium on the second floor of the building, now converted into one of Portland's best music venues.

During the day, entrance to Revolution Hall is limited to full Conference+Festival passholders only, but all passholders are welcome to watch the simulcast talks in Assembly Lounge or Show Bar.

Assembly Lounge

Assembly Lounge is a small bar, located just outside of Revolution Hall's main entrance, on the second floor of the building. We'll simulcast all main stage programming, daytime and evening, into Assembly Lounge.

Show Bar

On the ground floor of Washington High, the recently-opened Show Bar is a full bar with vegan-friendly menu. In the large adjacent event space, we'll simulcast our Conference talks during the daytime, open to all passholders.

On Friday and Saturday night, Show Bar becomes the location for Tabletop. On Sunday night, it's open for our Closing Party.

The Park

The park is our main social space, with our bar, food carts, shade structures, and ample picnic table seating.

The Tent

The park is dominated by a huge tent, which we'll use for shaded seating during the day, and becomes the location for Arcade on Friday and Saturday night, as well as our Closing Party on Sunday.

Also Inside

We're not scheduling programming there, but there are two other great locations inside Washington High: the Roof Deck and Marthas.

Weather permitting, the Roof Deck is open weekdays at 3pm and weekends at noon, with spectacular views of the city, a full bar, and BBQ. Just take the elevator to the roof.

On the ground floor of Washington High, Marthas is a great coffeeshop and bar open daily from 8am to sundown.
