This Privacy Policy is part of the Terms of Service that governs your access to or use of the Services.

We care about the privacy of your information. Here’s what information we collect about you and what we use it for. If you do not want us to use your information in these ways you should not use the Services.

We collect anonymous information about how visitors use the xoxofest.com website. We collect this information using standard tools, such as Google Analytics.

We collect information that you give us when you apply for a ticket to XOXO. We use this information to determine eligibility for XOXO, determine your eligibility for a subsidized pass, and to get in touch with you regarding XOXO or other Services. We do not sell your information. Period. If you provide us information for a certain reason, we may use the information in connection with the reason that it was provided.

We will be publishing a private attendee directory, only accessible by other XOXO attendees. This directory will include your name, Twitter avatar, website, location, and optional project name and project URL. We respect your privacy, and will give you an opportunity to edit, update or opt out of having your information included in this directory. If you do not wish to be included in our attendee directory, you can manage your involvement by logging in to update your details.

We may share information, including personal information, we have collected about XOXO attendees and site visitors in these situations:

Your Consent. With your consent, we may share your information with third-parties or allow them to collect your information from the Services in ways not specifically described in this Privacy Policy.

Change of Control. If we are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, we may sell or transfer your information as part of the transaction. The Terms and this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We will make reasonable efforts to let you know of the change of control before transferring your personal information.

Law and Harm. We may share your information with law enforcement, if required by law. We also reserve the right to share information we have collected from you if we deem it necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, our Code of Conduct, to investigate or defend ourselves against third-party claims, or to prevent or take action regarding suspected or actual illegal activities. We will notify you of these uses.

We store the information we collect on our systems or licensed systems, and use it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. You authorize us to use or store your information in, or transfer your information to, the United States and any other country where we operate. Privacy and data protection laws in some countries may vary from the laws in the country where you live.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your information and your use of the Services. You can do this at any time by contacting us to request that your personal information be deleted.

If you withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, you may not have access to any of the Services, and we may not be able to provide you any of the Services. Please note that we may continue to process your information after you have withdrawn consent and requested that we delete your information if we have a legal basis to do so. For example, we may retain certain information if we need to do so to comply with an independent legal obligation, or if it is necessary to do so to pursue our legitimate interest in keeping the Services safe and secure.

The Services are not for children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Children under 13 should not use the Services at any time. If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
