Drinks at XOXO 2015

If you’ve been to XOXO before, you may know that we offer complimentary drinks for the duration of the festival — free coffee beverages in the daytime, and a rotating lineup of our favorite local craft beers and wine in the evening.

This year, we’re giddy to announce three new additions.

Hops and Kisses

We finally did it— we made a beer. With the help of MailChimp, we partnered with Gigantic Brewing, one of our all-time favorite breweries, to make an official XOXO beer: the Gigantic Hops and Kisses Fresh Hop IPA.

It doesn’t get much fresher than this: these Willamette Valley-grown Centennial hops came off the field, and went into the beer within three hours of coming off the field.

A true collaboration, Hops and Kisses was named by an attendee in the Slack channel (thanks, Charles!), and the adorable label was made by our friend, Ping Zhu. Our friend Paul Searle made a short showing each step of the process:

Limited-edition bottles of Hops and Kisses will be available for sale throughout the festival, and it’ll be on tap for free every night at XOXO, along with the rest of our incredible beer lineup.

If you want to keep track of the beer lineups, our buddies at Brew Notice will be posting the rotating taps in real-time.

Our New Non-Alcoholic Menu

We know some of you don’t drink, can’t drink, or maybe just hate the taste of alcohol, and we’ve never done a great job of supporting that in past, which isn’t very responsible.

This year, for the first time, we’re excited to say that we have an amazing lineup of complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, available throughout the day and evenings at XOXO, thanks to the support of Slack.

We worked with Commissary to design a menu of creative, delicious sodas and non-alcoholic cocktails made from their fresh, hand-made syrups. And, with Slack’s help, we named them all with emoji.

Get Your Caffeine Fix

For the third year in a row, we’ve teamed with our friends at Hover and Roseline Coffee Roasters to provide free iced and hot coffee beverages during the day on Friday through Sunday.

Roseline’s Marty Lopes is one of the most talented microroasters in the world, and we’re lucky enough to have his single-origin coffees and seasonal blends at XOXO again this year. He’ll be assisted by the talented team of baristas from Good Coffee, where Andy and I cowork nearly every day.

They’ll be providing the espressos, macchiatos, cappucinos, cold brew, and their coffee like last year, but we expect warm weather, so Roseline came up with a special option to complement our new XOXO beer: a new non-alcoholic, hop-infused cold brew we’re calling “Morning Beer.”

And, if we pull it off, look for a little something special on each of the coffee cups, illustrated by the incredible Liz Prince.

Huge thanks to our patrons for going above and beyond to make this festival better. If you see them at the festival, thank them in person.
