Families and Significant Others
Every year, we try to make XOXO better for people traveling with partners, significant others, or their children. Here’s how it works this year.
Families
This year, thanks to our incredible patrons, we’re very happy to announce that we’re partnering with My Loving Nanny to offer free on-site childcare during the festival for the first time.
Like last year, children 12 and under are welcome to attend XOXO for free with parental supervision. Because of strict capacity limits, seating for the daytime conference talks on Saturday and Sunday are reserved for badgeholders only.
In the past, our closing party and music events were held in 21+ venues. We’d love for everything at XOXO to be all ages, so this year, we’ve applied for permits that will allow us to open them to minors, and we’ll release that information as soon as we can.
Significant Others
With demand higher than ever for the same number of XOXO passes, it’s impossible to accommodate everyone who wants to go. This is especially tricky with partners and significant others, who risk getting split up if only one is randomly assigned a pass.
Our solution is the same as last year — for couples who want to attend XOXO together, we’ll ask you each to name your partner in your respective surveys during registration.
If your partner isn’t randomly selected for a conference pass, they’ll be given priority access to purchase a festival pass, allowing them to attend everything at XOXO except the talks.
We know this isn’t ideal, but it’s a compromise that allows us to open XOXO to the most diverse group of attendees possible.
Getting Better
We’re always trying to make XOXO better, and if you have any ideas or have any special needs, please get in touch.
