New Speakers: Boing Boing's 25th Anniversary Reunion

In 1988, Mark Frauenfelder and Carla Sinclair launched a print zine called bOING bOING, “the world’s greatest neurozine.” After 15 issues, it moved to the web exclusively in 1996, relaunching as a blog in 2000. Shortly after, Mark added three talented writers and journalists to the mix — technology writer David Pescovitz, science-fiction author/free culture advocate Cory Doctorow, and journalist Xeni Jardin.

Despite many temptations, Boing Boing remains entirely independent and self-published, never sacrificing their creative or financial control. And they continue to experiment and expand, now featuring a series of podcasts, a TV channel, and original long-form writing.

This year is the 25th anniversary of bOING bOING’s first issue, a quarter-century of sharing their “directory of wonderful things.”

To commemorate that huge anniversary, we're ridiculously excited to announce that all four Boing Boing editors will join us at XOXO for a very rare public appearance.

That’s right — Mark, Xeni, David, and Cory will all be on-stage, interviewed by Glenn Fleishman, frequent Boing Boing contributor and host of The New Disruptors podcast.

Get ready, happy mutants.
